Eastern Edge Outfitters (EEO) offers a variety of Newfoundland
kayaking adventures from the pleasant tranquility
of a sheltered bay to the challenging rugged coastal wilderness of
Newfoundland's south coast. Our tours are fun filled with safety,
comfort and the enjoyment of our guests the prime concern. People of
all ages who love nature and the spirit of adventure will enjoy our
guided wilderness holiday.
NO PREVIOUS
EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
On
all our tours we give initial instruction so guests will be able to
paddle their kayaks on their own. Ongoing throughout the tour our
guides will coach paddlers on technique, safety and other kayak
skills. Paddling does require a degree of fitness and good health
but not great strength or endurance. We rarely paddle more than 5 or
6 hours a day and pace ourselves to give ample time for those who
want to explore a few extra coves or islands. Time can also be made
available for photography, hiking or the simple enjoyment of fine
food at our seaside lunch locations.
EQUIPMENT
EEO offers a variety of hard shelled sea kayaks to suit the varied
needs of our participants. We can provide singles or doubles
depending on experience, length of trip or preference of our
paddlers. All are very stable and versatile North American models
and we ensure that each person is matched to the right boat for his
or her size and ability.
